I did a quick search on line and found this free tutorial for the triangular thread catchers. I really like all of your quilts and the triangular thread catchers are so clever...

I found it easier to sew the buttons on before sewing the side seams. I used the zig zag with the feed dogs down and sewed the buttons on through all layers.
