Default 40th Anniversary Quilt finally finished

I made this for my DH for our 40th. Well I STARTED it for then, lol. I finished it only one year and 2 months late. He has been so fantastically understanding a patient about all the delays and I am so happy he is finally wrapped up warm and cozy in it this winter.
Each block and border strip represents a special memory or event in our time together. Some are obvious and some pretty subtle, but he knew what each one was for! And here I thought he wasn't romantic. Silly me.
When we met, he had a brown corduroy coat that I loved. I called it his teddybear coat, it was so soft, warm and snuggly. I put a strip of brown corduroy on one small block and asked if he knew what that was for, and danged if he didn't say, "for that coat I had when we met".
The moose panel is the backing and is fleece.
