I think it will work beautifully.

I like them all and would use it. It may be my monitor but, the 3rd fabric from the top looks more like the 'odd man out' as it looks more sunny yellow than gold. It is going to be gorgeous!

Looking at your fabric pile all the colours seem to blend pretty well. Yes the bottom one is bolder, but you will only be seeing small pieces of it. I think it will look lovely.

Please use the bottom fabric it will help make the whole quilt pop a little - otherwise it will be too blendy.

I like the bottom fabric - a lot. What fabric are you using for the (usually) white space in the quilt? If it's white, I wonder whether fabrics 2 and 5 will show up. All the fabrics need to be looked at with the background fabric to see the contrast.

While 50 years is associated with 'gold' - will a quilt in those colors go with the rest of their things?

(Not trying to discourage you here, but yellow/gold can be a bit 'tricky' to use in large amounts)

Maybe a wall hanging or table topper if 'gold' is not used much otherwise in their home?

I think the colors are perfect and that your parents are fortunate to have a son like you. Don't forget to post the picture when the quilt is done. Will be looking forward to seeing it.

Ditto, I agree that the third looks more yellow, but when the small pieces are together the gold may come out to play. Can't wait to see the finished product. BrendaK
