50th Wedding Anniversary DWR

I love the contrast and the GOLD of the bottom fabric. I really do. I'm always surprised when I think a fabric won't work and it seems to be an eye catcher.
Once my sil gave me a bunch of fabrics she didn't think she really liked or would use. I put them all in an around the world quilt and it was awesome! You just never know, until you sew!

I love the bottom fabric for the movement it will give to the quilt. They are always more interesting with more fabrics and not all the same size pattern. Love the fairy frosts - all so appropriate for a golden wedding anniversary. Good luck!

Gorgeous fabrics!
I haven't seen the particular instructions for DWR that you are referring to, but if it were mine to do, I would use the second fabric in the stack as the 'background', and the bottom one as the 'corners' (the parts where the rings interlock).
I think I would add a few more fabrics to the mix, but I grew up with one that had probably 9 or 10 segments to each ring and it was very scrappy...no two rings exactly alike, although all the fabrics were used in several rings.

BTW you really need to do 4 blocks to get a full view of what it looks like put together
