Thanks everyone, the turtle one is her favorite. A few years back she had saved some snapping turtle eggs and hatched them, than set them free, she was so proud and so was I. I love PP just don't know why this one took so long.

I can see why it took so long - lots of pieces. It's beautiful and I would make it a priority to get it quilted for next Christmas.

Kid you have a friend that quilts, maybe you could barter services. Do some baking, or housekeeping for her in exchange. It is a very cute quilt so maybe you could iron under the edges and use it as a wallhanging until you can get it quilted. Bless you and your husband for sharing your home and your love with Rayne Skye.

You are doing better than me...................my pattern is still in the drawer. I hope to make it someday for a friend's daughter, whose mom is an entomologist and travels to the jungles of Costa Rica for bug collection. I have always loved this pattern and hope you find the way to finally finish this for your dear grand daughter. By the way, your fabric selection is spot on!

Just a suggestion, sandwich it together and tie it if you can't quilt it yourself or if funds limit you from having it done by a long arm quilter. Perhaps you and granddaughter can work together and tie it.
