I am making a lap quilt for my Mother's 80th birthday on Thursday. I got this from a link that Sondray posted in our Links Section. It's from Popular Patchwork and is called Charm Jewels. I used two Moda charm packs - "Collections For A Cause" and "The Morris Workshop". The border is a denim-looking fabric, and that is what I will use as backing. I will SID and tie it.

That is very pretty Ducky! Someone in our guild showed a quilt tonight with the same exact pattern, different fabrics. She also used moda charm packs. :D

Oh, thank you for your responses. It's always good to have feedback. The pattern is incredibly simple and I had fun putting it together.

I love it! what I also liked is the big paisleyish pattern of the rug in the first picture would actually make a great border if you could find a fabric similar. At first I thought the rug was part of the quilt.

Hmmmm. That wouldn't look bad.........minus the animal fur, of course! :-D Actually, I was wondering if I should put one more border on.

What a gorgeous quilt! It may be a simple pattern but with the fabrics you chose, it is just beautiful! Any Mother would be so thrilled to recieve this quilt made by a caring, sweet Daughter. Thank You for sharing.
