How do they make these in patterns? Is it something you iron on your fabric or do you trace it or what? I have always wondered about how they make these patterns that you can reuse for redwork.

You trace the pattern on the fabric and then stitch. So you still have your original pattern.

I always thought the markings for the emb. was already on the fabric, but still don't understand the quilt block part of it. I guess I would have to see one up close to better understand. :?

Just Beautiful: I am in the process of making a Redwork one with the ole style ladies and days of the week. I am going to see if my DIL will take a photo for me so I can post it: This one is an inspiration to me. Thanks for sending the website.

Absolutely stunning I've made the same one I love hand work in quilts. I've also done "WINTER WONDERLAND" in sky blues & "OVER THE RIVER & THROUGH THE WOODS" in blks, tands, beiges & brns. It's hanging in the hall down my basement stairs I'll have to find pictures for everyone.
Keep showing your items I like to see what everyone else does.
