    Hello Sharon

Thanks for your reply - yes, that's a sampler quilt all hand pieced and hand quilted - the dartboard was my original creation using up leftovers but I needed one more block!!

Hello wvdek - yes, been busy over 26 years now, but was hand embroidering and knitting all my life then machine knitting for years inbetween patchwork - helping Camp Quality - cancer for children support group in Oz. Last year my daughter wanted to learn patchwork sewing so I then got into machine patchwork - all other quilts are hand pieced and quilted, exept m/c emb quilt-as-you-go was an eye opener, - the only drawback with machine piecing is the lack of money for fabrics to create every quilt we see when the machine churns them out so quickly!!!! Thanks for your feedback

Hello Pickles, thanks for compliments - I love the piecing and patchwork but all done by hand previously now wish to be a great "quilter" to finish the last half dozen machine pieced quilts - had 1st machine quilting lesson last month, but oh how I wish I could be like the professional longarm quilters!!! I'll just have to get started and keep trying. :-o

The honeyccmb one is very much like the quilt my MIL made for us when we got married. Used it for about 20 years before it got too tattered.

Hello Mom-6!! Yes it is a very old pattern from Woman's Day or similar magazine 40+ years ago - I didn't begin patchworking then but kept pattern all this time - glad you like it and it brought back a few memories for you. ;)

Thank you PatriceJ - I'm thrilled that you're so enthused - I love your your comments - Worked for 28 years, came home and closed the front door, so in the habit of staying home a lot and don't belong to any workgroups, though I do have a few friends into the same crafts but keep my exploits hidden so it has been quite an experience to share with you and all the other ladies - hard to reply to everyone, but I do appreciate all replies - thank you to anyone who feels left out - thank God for computers and the internet - it certainly opened up the world for a lot of people

Your quilts are beautiful. I made "Flying Home". I like the way you made yours with the goose down toward the bottom in the rows of flying geese. It was one of the first quilts I ever made and it was fun to do.
