Definately not just for boys anymore. I am a private pilot and a quilter ... I belong to a woman pilots organization called the 99s that promotes aviation education. My chapter is working on our 3rd airplane quilt to raffle off to raise money for our Aerospace Ed and scholarship programs.

This block is called Lindy's Plane, it commemorated Charles Lindbergh's 1927 solo flight across the Atlantic. The quilt looks great!

I love your airplanes!! I've been wanting to make one!! My father was a private flight instructor and had his own planes; first a Piper Cub and then a Cessna. We enjoyed private flying! There's nothing quite like it!! Love your quilt!
