Just need to bind it but I'm not sure what color yet. This has been my "I only have 10 minutes" project for the last couple weeks. It's sort of a QAYG, I quilted the top squares with batting but no backing. I don't care for that look you get with a true QAYG with the strips that look like window sashing holding it together. I should have maybe waited for a walking foot before I did the last step, quilting the double lines that hold the backing in place but it'll do, will look better after washing, my lines were "5:00 am crooked" LOL.

I got several raves on my blog about my progress pics but I can't take credit for the idea, I saw a similar ticker tape quilt somewhere on flickr. The backing is a minky type silky fabric, that's the only cost involved in this one, a $5 remnant. It measures 36" square. I'll definitely make more of these, with different color center blocks. Thanks for peeking!

I like it too. I think a yellow binding would look good

You really could go with just about any color for the binding...even a scrappy binding...or using a plaid or stripe on the bias.
Fun quilt!!

I have never seen anything like this. I would think that if you quilted to the batting and then did the backing later, you would get this really neat 3 D effect on the mosaic part which would be so cool. This has been an interesting view for me. Thanks, I really enjoyed seeing your quilt.

I like it, it's innovative. Your creativity is spectacular.

Have you tried a dark matching color or maybe Black?
I think that whatever color you decide on will look pretty.
