indeed PP is quite a mess, but the block is lovely although if you put the dark where the yellow is it would pop more. I think

Your work is beautiful. Anything worth doing is always messy.

It gets easier and faster, once you get the hang of it, watch you tube, they have lots of helpful videos.

The next one will go faster and easier. There is a learning curve to paper piecing, it's kind of an upside down technique. But once you have the ticket, it gets easier and faster. You must admit that you can't get such nice sharp points any other way. One pointer, I keep the paper on until my blocks are all together. Remember to shorten your stitch length and use a bigger needle. It perforates the paper better and is easier to pull out. NEVER give up!

Oh, by the way, Yes! I think it is worth it.

Your block turned out beautiful no matter how big of a mess you made in the process!

I couldn't help but notice your chair! Just yesterday I was complaining to my sister that I needed to get a cushion for my kitchen chair that I always set in. She said "I am gonna get you one of those butt donuts!" LOL I am just afraid by the time I got up out of the chair it would be a butt pancake instead!
