Also I am wondering which way I should lay the A for alligator. Here are two examples

I liked the alligator laying on its side best. Will be a darling quilt! Be sure we get to see the finished one.

As a retired Kindergarten teacher, IMHO, put the letter as close to the way it's suppose to be. Less confusing for little people.
