I am an old special needs teacher and I am very proud of your granddaughter. One of my fondest teaching memories is when I taught life skills and my students learned to quilt simple quilts for themselves.

Never underestimate a child with special needs! They are awesome! I teach special education and there is not a day that goes by that I don’t marvel about how truly intelligent and clever they are! Sewing is a wonderful outlet for them… They work (mostly) alone, can focus on the task at hand and they have something to show for their efforts!

She did a wonderful job and I'm so proud of you for taking the time and patience to teach her how and at the same time increase her self esteem!!
