That's beautiful!! You are one tough lady to persevere and get it done! WHEW! It will bring joy as you use it. Not sure I'd be nice enough to do one for a daughter...and not for the friend. You get the "Nice Award"!
My mojo for making bags is gone after trying the "Professional Tote". Sticking to quilts or wall hangings is it for me. You have my admiration.

What a beautiful bag! Good for you for sticking with it. The piping really dresses it up.

Beautiful bag. I am going to start a bag this week for my toiletries, and if successful will make the larger one for a weekender. I hate making bags or purses but need one and can't find one I like. I swore off of them after making a duffel bag for our DGD's ballet class, but here I go again LOL Good luck on your second. Maybe it will go together faster, now that you are experienced.

Looks like it was made by a pro. Especially appreciate the balanced cutting of the lower fabric. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

That is a really nice bag. Sometimes when the pattern is off it is hard to like a project, but if you wrote down the "fix-its" you have a wonderful pattern there. Great job, and the piping makes it perfect.
