Smile Angel T-shirt with Chinese fabric!

I made this quilt for a young lady who is doing missionary work in China. Her mother went to visit and they bought the fabric and a vender in this big warehouse of fabric 3 floors!!!! I had all her t-shirts from college. She is a devoted Christian and wears a guardian Angel everyday. I used 30 of her t-shirts for the quilt and made 3 pillows with 6 more. I quilted Angels that I drew into my HQ, Ballarina's because she dances and teaches ballet over there. Crosses in the center sashing and Guardian Angels in the crosswise sashing. The lots of swirls and feather designs along with going around the designs. I asked the manager of our Chinese resturant if he would draw me the symbols of Teacher and Angel for the quilt, so he did and I drew them in also. The young lady was speechless. Her Mother was amazed at the quilt. They were very happy with this as they said "Work of Art". I was happy to please them. So I hope you enjoy this quilt also. I am now off to spend the summer at the lake. I get to now work on my own things.

I too am speechless what a masterpiece !!!
The boarder stitching (is it hand stitched ) is gorgeous & truly makes the quilt very personal.

Enjoy the lake & your summer !!

What a wonderful keepsake she'll have. I love the assembly of the quilt and your quilting is magnificent. Thanks for sharing such a great, unique quilt with us.
