Great quilt. It looks like it is heavy.
Looks like the OBW quilts so many are making these days. The red and blue segments could be cut from strips then pieced with the solid blue triangle.

I was thinking this quilt would look great using muslin and the pastel prints from the 30's. I would actually start with the hexagon center and build the block like a log cabin block. It would certainly go fast making the block with that method. What a unique pattern!

Will you make it with one section a different color? I think it adds character! I can see a tiny bit of the green at the bottom of the picture.

The more I think about it, I think a soft textured background in a light color and each of the hex squares a different print either using 30's prints or historical tiny prints such as the ones they sell at Homestead Hearth in Mexico, MO. I'm excited...now I want to get started but alas...all my quilting is packed for the move tomorrow so it will be a few weeks before I can even 'think' about sewing! I told myself that I could NOT buy more fabric and that I could NOT start another quilt until I finish at least two quilts I have started. And, I was planning on reducing my stash but I just don't see that happening with the influence of this group! I get so many new ideas and I'm inspired to do so many projects....just not enough time! Somewhere in there I have to fit in time to go to work and sleep! (grinning)
