Default Another Baby Quilt

Made this quilt for a niece who is having her first baby in October. They didn't want to know the sex but the room is decorated with lime green. Didn't have enough fabric for backing so had to piece it. First time doing that, but I think it came out ok.

Wooooo wouldn't love it? What's the name of that main fabric, I've got a baby quilt to make soon, and mommy loves owls.

I got the main owl fabric from Superior Threads. It's listed on the invoice as Riley Blake Hoot Cream and was $6.99 a yard when I purchased it in July. It's a really nice fabric, not flimsy at all. I also used the Riley Blake plain cream for the pinwheels and border.

Very cute. I happen to like pieced backings. More interesting.

The pieced back is nice. Adds a little dimension.
