Another chunk of fabric I've had forever is this black "southwest" or "Navajo" print in the central blocks. It isn't high quality fabric, either, so the quilt will be a give-away.
All the other fabrics are from my stash, except the barn red in the outside border. My LQS gave that to me for 30% off, because I plan on sending the quilt to an Alzheimer's study group. How nice of her, since I am unemployed, and on an extremely tight budget.
I want to fill the outer, solid black corners with some embroidered southwest or cowboy designs. I am acquainted with a lady who does embroidered items at very economical prices....I just have to get back in the ranks of the employed before I do that. So it will be awhile before this gets finished.
Thanks again for looking!
Don't look too close....while I was putting the quilt top on hangers, it picked up all sorts of cat hair! Arghhhh!

I will embroider (machine) the designs for you for free if you pay postage both ways, because, like you, I don't have an income. You can pick out some designs on line for free.

Hmmmm! Something to consider. Where exactly would you suggest I look for designs? And do you have some pics of your work?

Sorry, my camera will not work to transfer on-line. I am a home machine embroiderer, who sometimes does things for sale.

I am willing to do this because you are doing it for charity. I would provide the stabilizer and thread.

Designs can be found online by googling machine embroidery designs.
