    Ok, here's chicken #2.
It's not all appliqued yet. I'm not too keen on the eyes either, but oh well.......
The eggs were a pain to cut out. I decided to cut them out because I didn't want the black background in there.

    Thanks!
The eggs were a pain to cut out, but I really do like it better than just the egg fabric. I laid down the fabric with the hen on top and just didn't like the looks, so this is what came of it. :)

Yes Patti. I didn't like the looks of what it was sitting on, so decided the eggs. It took about 8" high by width of fat quarter to get the eggs that I needed.

I'm going to have to find some of the egg fabric...I don't have any...did you get it at BF or did Marcia send that to you? I haven't gone back to look at your other thread to see.

    Marcia sent it to me.
I've got the entire chicken done, now I'm trying to figure out HOW to applique the eggs. There's only a few that are single. The rest are a bunch cut out.
I think maybe just a tiny stitch around it...what do you think?

Yea Terri...I'd just do a tiny stitch around the single eggs. I think it will look just fine.

Come on Valerie!!!!! You have to join in the fun too...But you MUST post pics!

Oh Terri that is so cute and you are so bad! I did make a chicken quilt for my DH's GM it was one of those things that disappeared with my quilting things a couple years ago. She is gone now but I had bought a bunch of chicken fabric because she loved chickens. It is "languishing" in my stash. Too bad the scraps from that quilt have also disappered-it was very cute!

Now you have gone and done it! I will have to drag it all out and do something with it. Just what I need another WIP! I am not an applique kind of gal so this should be interesting!
