Instead of sitting around worrying about approaching tornadoes this weekend I decided that I should get busy quilting to get my mind off the weather. I whipped up this quick quilt for the Downy Touch of Comfort Quilts for Kids project. This one was made from fabric that I've had in my stash awhile and two generously-sized pieces that I received in the Fabric.com remnant bundle I ordered a few weeks ago (a great bargain). I'm hoping that there's a little boy out there who will like this one. I named it "Hey Cowboy!" which is one of the phrases written on the brown fabric. My hubby said it reminds him of when he was a young child because he loved cowboys, horses and anything western-themed. Thanks for looking!

I really like that! My husband also likes westerns.

I can just see the little boys faces when they see it! There are girls that like horses also. I had made my granddaughter a blanket and pillow (not quilted) out of horse material!

Good work. :) :)

A lot nicer than sitting around worrying about a storm. :)

I like it, would like to see your stitching on the back too.

I'm still trying to improve my FMQ skills. On this quilt I just did some lasso loops to mimic the cowboys' ropes. Some of the loops are round, some a bit elongated, but I figure that's OK when it comes to ropin'...
