Lovely leaves! It suits the quilt perfectly.

I have a friend that used a stained sheet as a backing. I didn't understand why someone would put so much time into making a quilt top to back it with stained fabric. It turns out it was the sheet she always used when she went to her grandma's house during Christmas break as a child and she was backing her quilt so she could feel close to her grandma after she passed.

this little lady is about 87 years old. I don't think she saw the stain. As for sentimental reasons, I don't think that was the case because she was planning on giving it as a gift. It wasn't a bad stain. But, was very obvious that the white sheet had been used.

It looks terrific - and isn't it nice to "practice" on something real? Your work is very nice, and the top is a beauty too.

Great job! I am learning to long arm quilt, too. It's not as easy as it looks.

The vine in the border gives lots of movement and allows the eye to follow it around the quilt to all the plates. Very cool.
Keep up the good work. Isn't it fun!
peace
