Hey, I am an ICU nurse too, here in Northern Illinois. I am a lone quilter in my unit and I have made quite a few baby quilts for my co-workers. In February, one of my co-workers and her husband gave me her MIL's stash who had passed in October. In addition to all of the fabric (she was quite a collector and of many types that are timeless, such as batiks, Jinny Beyer, etc.) there are many UFO's. I just finished one that she had started and it is off to the LAQ. I am giving it to them before Christmas as a thank you for the tremendous gift I was given. I was also given a Horn sewing table and many notions.
BTW, your quilt is awesome. This is a familiar pattern, where is it from?

I have a lot of 1/2 triangle square cut and put in a box waiting for me to put together in the pin wheel pattern. I will get to it sooner or later, when I get into the mood to finish it. I like the applique on the four corners.
