Hi Brenda K, The blocks were trimmed to 12 1/2" unfinished (12" finished) prior to sashing between the blocks and rows. I found there was a lot of waste in the trimming. The blocks are made in a braid and squaring off creates the waste. BUT I have utilized the scraps and designed a small quilt which will be applique. Haven't selected the background fabric yet for that quilt. I really fell in love with this fabric collection. Can't wait to see your quilt! Thanks for asking about the blocks. Weasie

That is one beautiful quilt. Can see why you love the fabric. I saw this tutorial on MSQC and it is on my bucket list.

Yes! I too have wanted to do one of these. Alas, I seem to be tied up forever on other things.

Your quilt is beautiful, and I like the way you rotated each square! I belong to a large friendship group who did that same pattern in brights and jewel tones. We each did a square, turned it in, had a raffle, and one lucky quilter got the 16-18 squares turned in. Almost an instant quilt for her! Love that pattern and hope to make a quilt from it soon.
