I really love that quilt! Did you cut the squares to size after the scrappy rectangles were made? It looks like a quilt you'd find on a bed in a quaint cottage by the ocean. :D

hi barn, thanks for the kind words. this quilt was called PATHS TO PIECE in the book where i found the pattern. isn't that a great name?


to answer your question, yes i string pieced the rectangles and trimmed to 5 x 3 3/8. then i sewed scrap triangles on both ends. then sew larger background triangles to either side and square it up. it takes 4 of these to make 1 block. it was great fun. i too love the scrappy look very much. you all have seen several of my scrap busters and plan to make many more :wink:

Saw that the quilt name was Paths to Piece but did I miss the name of the book? The quilt is so lovely. It is a scrappy but it is elegant too!!
