Your quilt is gorgeous, is the pattern Irish chain made into a scrapy? I really love it and the borders are lovely too.

It is very similar to an Irish Chain, but not quite. Doris should be over sometime within the next two weeks to pick up another quilt and I have made a note to ask her what pattern. I'll post the information as soon as I learn.

The quilting is really outstanding. The quilt itself is lovely but the quilting is over the top!!!!

Gosh, I am very, very sorry. I thought I had posted where Doris got her inspiration for this quilt several weeks ago. Anyway she tells me she used the "Four Patch Chain" block pattern from Marcia Hohn's pattern on www.quilterscache.com She just used her scraps instead of just the three colors called for in the pattern. She made up her own border treatments and then appliqued her vines and flowers. No set pattern, so there is no yardage figured. A person would just need to dive into their scraps and stitch until they had the quilt whatever size they wanted.

I just made this quilt. It is very easy. I went by the picture ,24 blocks.you only make the one block but 24 times it's how the block is turned that gives you the design. I made 96 4 patch blocks and 226 squares. The block itself has 4 4 patches and 12 squares. I am using a tablet and don't know how to post a picture. Hope this helps someone.
