    just got sent here from todays post. wow! your mom must spend all her time making scraps!

    it was interesting to see the work as it progressed into the beauty it is now. can't wait to see it finished.

    Yeah it sure is amazing what one can do from a pile of scraps....I wouldn't have thought it possible but yet there it is......Thanks for looking and commenting too.....:-)

    :) Hi gcathie,

    I have studied that flying geese block and I think I have it figured out why it floats. The background is one size and the goose piece is aproximately 3/4 the size so it floats. Cool Beans cathie! Thanks so much for showing me that.

    I will check the quilt store for the simply crazy tool. I have tons of scraps that need my attention.

    Hi back at you Red.....glad you found this page....your gonna have fun using that tool.....makes it a little easier to make a crazy quilt......and uses up those scraps for sure.....:-)....and yes that is what makes it floating I guess....I should have made it a smaller block so it would have been more visiable.....oh well next time right......good luck finding the tool.....

    Hi Cathie,

    Oh.... I will find that tool. LOL! I think I saw it in Nancy's notions. Where did you get yours?

    I just love the way all those scraps look in the quilt. You would have never believed that they would all look so good together like that. You really did good with this set girl! Thanks for letting us in on your secret.

    For some reason it reminds me of looking at the pictures of the world from outer space. I know that sounds crazy, huh?

    Red......My mom found ours at her local quilt store....let me know if you find one or not....I'll see what I can do for you if you can't find one okay........:-)....and I do get what your saying.....all those pieces do reming you of the world ....;-)....

    cathie, after you shape the arch out of those teeeeny leeeetle pieces, do you applique or set them INTO the white fabric by piecing them to the white?
