Now my question is....how do you keep the front and the pieced back straight & lined up when you get ready to quilt it? I made a quilt once & put a back on that had a pieced strip from some left over front & the back did not come out straight after it was quilted. The front was easy since I could see it while quilting but not so for the back.

Thank you all for the warm, wonderful compliments. Here is the front I'm going to use. It's a pretty top, but, unfortunately, the fabric isn't the best quality, which is why it's been in the unloved box for so long. The shaped edge is why I'm going with a faced edging. It's all basted up, and I hope to start quilting it tonight.

I wish I could, but I have promised myself I would not buy a single inch of fabric until I have my scraps under control. I was a fat quarter junkie, lol, so I just don't have any fabrics in yardages to use as backings.
