    Default Another scrappy...X's and O's

This is such a simple pattern (from About.com) but can look so different depending on the fabric choices. I made this one with "guy" fabrics for my guild's "Care Quilt" program. We never have anything appropriate for men and boys. It's all scraps and has plaids, camo, cars, solids, etc. It's hanging sideways on my design wall and came out to be 60 by 76 inches.

Next time I want to try a more controlled version with just a few colors in some kind of arrangement....maybe red, white, blue.

Great quilt....I really like how it turned out. I think this will be an excellent layout for the silk ties my husband has given me after he retired (Feb 14th of this year).

I was just looking at another one of the same pattern a few minutes ago and trying to see a close-up. Thank you for saying where the pattern is from. Your're right it looks so different depending of the choice of fabrics. A very good idea for a beautiful scrappy
