    that is a beautiful quilt. and you had to change the colors of your threads as you went along? yikes. you did a wonderful job!!!

    Yes, nativetexan, I did. I figured out about the 2nd row, that it would be easier to do ALL the blacks and as much as I could of one color per row.....then those outer rows were done after I turned the quilt. I don't like turning, but in this case, I'd still be working on it --- to have to change the color 8 times per row was crazy.

    I have to tell you, southwest quilts are not my favorite. You just changed my mind, it is beautiful!

    Your gorgeous quilt has confused me to no end. I finally did a quilt with a black background and I've been auditioning varigated threads to quilt it. I always wanted to do a quilt with varigated threads on black. Now I see your quilt quilted black on black and it is so beautiful and the quilting designs stand out so nice. Now I don't know which way to go. Great job -- I love it!
