Default Another UFO (almost) done

I started this quilt for my DGD about a year and a half ago. Then I got very sick with allergies to meds and COPD complications and did almost nothing quilty for over a year. Now I have the top completed and am started on piecing the backing. A friend will quilt it next week, so I am feeling encouraged. Unfortunately, I don't have a place big enough to shoot the whole quilt, so you will need to use your imaginations.

Nice quilt. I am thinking of using this star for my next quilt. What's the name of it, I forget now. Beautiful layout and I love blue. Bravo.
Hopefully, you are feeling better healthwise.

This is a false LeMoyne, made with half square triangles as opposed to 45* diamonds. I bought a blue layer cake of Hoffman batiks, which was enough for this twin quilt, although I mislaid the quarter stars I made for the ends. the tricky part is keeping track of the pairings. Each star has 12 HST's and 4 background squares. The stars are an old pattern and one I love.

Yes, thanks, I am doing much better after recognizing the allergy and the need to be on oxygen full time. One does what one must.

Thank you. what mislead me with the false LeMoyne star was the long points. I guess there is a square in there between two HST... The one I will probably make is for my Sister-in-law who asked me if I would make her a quilt. I was so surprised as I did not think she was interested at all.

Very pretty! Love the colors. After a year and a half and the challenges you've had, I'm sure this must feel so satisfying to finish.

Lovely top! I also have problems taking some medications. Glad you are feeling a little better and I hope you continue to improve.
