    Actually I did win the $25 the first year we had it, and that's the money I used to buy the little Featherweight. Winning is just the luck of the draw, so the more UFOs completed the better chance of winning.

    Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. To answer a couple questions, never lived in Scotland but grandparents from the Borders so wanted to meet relatives etc.
    The thistle was just a drawing I found on the internet so enlarged it and traced it on heat'n bond lite. I did machine blanket stitch around the edges, and then I quilted around it so maybe that's why it looks a little 3 D in the pictures. Here's a close up as requested.
