Another Winning Row by Row quilt
It's a good thing the only requirement to win was to get done first! I'm still collecting more of the South Dakota patterns to make another one to hang between the doors on this one.
This is right inside the entry door to my "Machine Shed" - vintage sewing machine collection and workroom.
the "scrappy" background for the Plates is made from scraps from making the Rows. Nice to use them all up!
And a few of my favorite parts - the "Corn Palace" - I chose firework fabric for the background. This is my "home town" row.
And the Town Seal for Spearfish SD - I had just learned about shadow trapunto and used that.

So how did you get all those patterns? I know you and your dh are not afraid of traveling the highways and byways of your great state and others but did you stop at all of these shops to pick up the patterns? (Hmmm, do I remember way back in my brain that you were going somewhere and making stops on the way?) Anyway, I love the rows and still love the way you have set up those rods to be able to hang quilts up easily .... even going around corners. Very ingenious!
