Antique toy sewing machines
#11
How fun! Here's a picture of the sewing machine "toy" my mother played with. She's now 81....... It has a place of honor in my quilt room.

AG your mom's machine is so beautiful! It looks so much like the one I use for real. I have a 1950s repro of an 1850s Singer. It is what I use to sew on. It's black with the gold.
You are really blessed to have it!! I think these are so much fun!

Thanks Bev good to see you on here!
Lorretta I don't know about auctions. But when I was trying to research the Kay EE I online I ran across some online auctions that had one in them. You might do some searches online if you are interested.
My mom happened on these at a yard sale. The guy she bought them from said his mom had over 200 of them and decided enough was enough and she weeded out some to get rid of. So I was blessed that Mom was in the right place at the right time!

really cute, those miniautures, Rhonda! Just my size too
Have you got a tiny stool to go with? I do get tired standing up.
Did your childhood machines really work?
I love red.
I got a sewing machine when I graduated and thought it was the berries.
DD has that one now. I love to see these things. I don't have any more room for collecting....but I'll make hubby sleep outside, if I come across something good, lol!
well, on second thought, he's looking a little 'antiquey' himself, better let the poor dear keep his spot on the bed
