I stumbled onto this Flickr Group http://www.flickr.com/groups/1533394@N22/ for Mug Rugs. They are so fun to make. I had purchased a mug for a Christmas gift a couple of months back, and now it has a matching mug rug to go with it. What fun and unique gifts. Is anyone else into making mug rugs?

I made some for a couple of sewing buddies last Christmas. I did a paper pieced design. I'd show you mine, but it is kinda stained from a couple of coffee accidents. :oops:

Very pretty, and it does match the mug almost exactly. Very nice. I've made coasters, but not mug rugs.
