    The top left is a tatting shuttle, the right one is for darning, and the bottom three are for lacemaking.

    i agree.. tatting shuttle, darning egg, awl, drop spindle and button hook.

    It looks very similar to tatting. Is frivolite different?

    Here we call this tatting. I have a couple of silver tatting shuttles in my things I found along the way collection. I don't tat, but love the look and know people who do.
