Looks great! One thing about an apple core, you get the hang of curves. At least it breaks you in.

thanks everyone! I am glad that jumped in and finished. I am going to find a little boy to give this too now it may take me some time to try another one...I will have to work on some straight lines now to get the curves out of my nerves

very nice!! I too bought the large apple core template and made a scrappy...it was rather easy to do, I was surprised and oh so glad because I've been wanting to do an AP but I knew I'd never do a small one. For those who are apprehensive about this one go ahead and make one, it's not bad at all!!!
