Default Apple core under my needle now

This is an apple core quilt I'm making using different old prints. It all started with a set of 5" squares I purchased from Missouri Star Quilt Company cheap and then I kept adding to what I had. I'm using the apple core template for 5" squares also from MSQC. It will only be a large lap quilt...too much work to make into a large quilt!

Wow! What a fun quilt! For me, I would keep it and make it my "picnic" quilt. With the bright colors, you would never see stains on it. It would also be great to wrap up with on a fall evening in front of a firepit!

I have one that I use that way. I call it my "Aunt Shorty quilt". Mine is red, white and blue and very bright.

I usually give away my quilts, but that one, I'd save for me.

edit: Did you have a plan in mind or are the "charms" just randomly placed? Somehow, I sometimes end up with too much of the same color too close and wondered how you overcame that.

That is going to be so pretty. Nice workmanship. I have that template from MSQC and you have just inspired me to get it out and make a scrappy. Please share a pic when you are finished.
