OK, how long did it take for you to do these? You didn't learn to do all of them in a one day class, did you? Go once a month to do a different block? It's absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Donna, thank you, this was a monthly class. I started 6 months ago as this picture was my last class I will attend. The rest of the group will continue to meet on a monthly basis. I will stop attending as the shop owner priced the classes in 6 month increments. I have a drive of 90 miles each way to attend. The lady who teaches it is really a good appliquer and I wanted to learn from her. My hopes are I will stay in contact with one of the group to get the monthly assignments to keep up with the class even though I won't attend.

That is one of the prettiest applique quilts I have seen. Is it raw edge or needle turn? You are doing a wonderful job.

Thank you, it's needle turn. This project has made me more confident my my needle turn skills. I have all kinds of ideas for the setting and border. I just need time to sit and get it on paper.

They are so beautiful. Are they needle turn or raw edge applique?

Sounds as if you live way out like I do... I live about 40 miles from the nearest fabric shop.. A Joann's or a Hancock's. There is one quilt shop in Macon, but I've never been to it. Hopefully I'll make it there one day. Two friends and I took my one and only quilt class in Jonesboro a few years ago. Probably 75 miles from home. We took 3 classes for beginners...enjoyed it immensely. Wish I could take more, but right now just can't.

    Your work certainly is beautiful!
