Alex Anderson is the reason why I am on this Board! She got me started on quilting! Her half hour Saturday morning show "Simply Quilts" was my therapy and cheaper than a shrink! Thanks, Alex!! Love that clown quilt!

I used to watch Alex's show, too. And Carol Duval and a few others when HGTV was my kind of channel. Not so much anymore!

Great pictures and how lucky you are to have met Alex and best of all a picture to commemorate your trip! I also watched her on HGTV and tapped the shows so I could watch them when I came home from work. Everything in the household stopped and hushed until I got my half hour of inspiration!

Thanks for showing. I too love Alex and she's the reason I got started quilting. Taped many, many shows and was so saddened when HGTV took her show off the air and others too. Never been the same.

Did you get a chance to see the Egyptian Tent Makers?? I REALLY wanted to go see that but couldn't get away.
May your stitches always be straight, your seams always lie flat, and your grain never be biased against you.

Yes I did! Wow! They were really works of art. One of the quilt makers was also there working on a quilt and signing autographs...

Oh, I would loooove to meet Alex Anderson. I have watched her shows for years. I still have tapes of them to watch on the VCR. I am so glad you got to meet her. She is the one who got me started with quilting too. Those quilts are amazing!

    Cool quilts!
A dog is not "almost human" and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.
