Cherio - It was only difficult in the beginning only because I had too much seam allowance, and the blocks became too small. Once I realised I could set the needle properly to the 1/4" it all fell into place. Had that machine for 8 yrs and never knew I could move the needle into so many positions. I too consider myself intermediate, but have done a lot of dressmaking etc over the years, so following a pattern isn't difficult. I also 'fudge' well.
