Beautiful work. Like so many others I like to see the before fabric and you actually combined the two in this one project. Just love it. Great job!! Thanks for sharing!

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I had to go back and look at the first one again - they are gorgeous! I had the very same fabric only with a blue background - but used it for kids pillowcases. You are truly inspiring :D
Katrine, that is so beautiful. I ususally prefer the hexagon over they octagon but yours is working on changing my mind.
So pretty and colorful! I love what you've done! You must be very very happy with this quilt!
Striking quilt. Very nice.
I thought I did as well Aunt Bea - but you know I think it depends on the fabric print being used. This is a very "busy" colourful fabric, which helped the setting squares to blend the octagons together so's they didn't have such a defined line as sometimes happens with octagons.Originally Posted by Aunt Bea
I prefer making the hexagons - it's lots quicker  And I like playing with cubes which you can't do with the octagons - and you cannot turn the triangles around either of course - however I will do another one with octos when I find the right fabric.
And I have enough of this particular fabric to make a hexagon one as well later on ...
this is so cool, I want to sew right now. not, got to clean up first. may take forever. LOL
Very nice... i especially like the way the squares in the border turned out.... each one nicer than the other....
Very pretty
Very, very nice! You did a beautiful job.
