    Arboreturn quilt by Bonnie

Several years ago I was in a quilt shop near Kansas City and saw the most beautiful quilt hanging on the wall - Arboreturn (pattern by Granole Girl) I purchased the pattern but never got around to making the quilt. A couple of weeks ago in walks a customer, Bonnie, who has made this quilt, and I fell in love with it all over again. Bonnie added lovely large borders to make the quilt the size she wanted. We chose Hobbs Poly batting and used about 7 different colors of thread on it. I did do a little stitching on top of the applique to help define the leaves.

Fantastic quilting. I can do that in my dreams LOL. I can see why you love the pattern, very different attic windows effect with the different strip lengths, really neat.

Very simple, yet lovely quilt! I love seeing how someone added wide borders to a pattern to make the quilt the size they need. You did a wonderful job quilting it!
