Army Camo Quilt

As with the consensus of others, I also prefer the first one as the second one looks more busy than the first. I do like them both, but #1 is the most 'organized and orderly'. What color background are you going to do for the rest of the quilt? I will have to keep all of this in mind, as my son was recently "Medically Retired" from the Army and has requested that I make a quilt utilizing his camos. Lone Star is his favorite pattern, so I am really considering copying your idea....hope you don't mind <smile>.

Of course I don't mind! I got the pattern here http://beaspokequilts.blogspot.com/2...to-finish.html
My mom thinks I should applique the star onto fabric. I like the idea of using a blanket stitch all the way around. I was thinking of a dark brown, darker than in the sand camo fabric. I want to do a piano key border and plan to somehow incorporate a lot of his patches, pins and name bars.
