    Default Army Camo Quilt

The sister of an acquaintance asked me to make a quilt from her husband's old camo. I decided to go with a very large lone star in the center. I had three basic fabrics to use so I decided to keep it very formal in design and orderly rather than scrappy looking. With three fabrics, it's too hard to make it look "random" without trying really, really hard. And it's a military quilt so I thought orderly would be a good representation.

    Here are the two choices:

    Star #1

    Star #2

This is going to be one huge star in the center of a quilt. I sent the pics to the woman who commissioned the quilt but I'm really hoping she chooses #1.

Both are great but #1 "pops" more for me. Have fun with whatever you choose!

I also prefer number 1 because of the lighter color in the center. With the darker colors on the outer points, a light filler will really make the star pop. Maybe a marble/blender in a beige or green?

The star is a great idea!!
