The area of the UK where I live is rich in these fossils - they're even in the stone walls of my house! I made this wall hanging by raw edge piecing with freezer paper templates then couching yarn to hide the stitching. The outer border is pebbled FMQ and the bead and embroidery embellishments are all done by hand. It's 24" square, thanks for looking. :-D

thats' beautiful...I'm slowly getting into art quilts but still find that the hand work is my downfall - you've done an amazing job.

It's beautiful! That's even prettier than an opalised ammonite, my very favorite variety. Lovely work.
