Default I Spy Australia

This quilt top is No 5 in my 'Australia' series of quilts and is my favourite so far. I am a 'fussy' fussy cutter so it was quite frustrating to find that there really weren't as many good Australian themed fabrics about that were perfect for fussy cutting but I am so happy with the end result. It still needs a border.

I am trying to get all the quilt tops done so I can work on the quilting of them all (7 in total) over the next few months. They need to be completed by the end of December ready to be displayed for Australia Day 2019, January 26.

That's really creative! I can imagine that finding all the prints with decent way to fussy cut them would be a challenge. Good job!

This is the best collage I've ever seen where it is made up of the country's images. You could stare at it for a very long time. Like at a museum. Great job.

Lynnie25, your work is brilliant! I love the platypus, the Tasmanian Devil, the emu, the spider, the boomerangs, the koalas, Uluru, the kangaroo, the sign posts, the Sydney bridge, the flip-flops, the didgeridoo, the snake, etc. You've given us an education on Australia, for sure! What a pleasure it is to see all those Australia-themed fabrics. I'd love to see the other quilts in the series, too. Will you be posting them?

Really unique. I can't wait to see your collage of "Australia" quilts. Together, they will make a beautiful statement. I can feel the pride in your country.
