Asian quilt top finished
Finished this tonight! I'm sure y'all have seen the other pictures in progress. I've been thinking about how to quilt it and drawing some designs. I would like to do branches and cherry blossoms in the outer burgundy strips, clam shells in the black strips, and a fan design in the pink. Only thing is my ideas are better than my quilting.

It's a beauty and your quilting ideas sound lovely. I have been trying to improve my FMQ skills and what has helped me is to worry only about the small section that is on my machine bed. I do the best job I can in that section and then reposition my hands and the quilt for the adjacent section, working outward.

I need to order a 2" clam shell longarm template, the strips are 8" wide, to help with that. I guess if I can draw on paper what I want to do with the branches, I should be able to draw it on the quilt so I will get a roll of paper. I don't know why I have such trouble getting my ideas to quilted. Need to work on that.
