August for the World's Largest Calendar Quilt
#1
I've finished the quilt I did for the National Environmental Hall of Fame's World's Largest Calendar Quilt. August was my month, water is the theme.
The NEHF contacted me as a custom quilter and sent the wave fabric, the word fabric and the dolphin fabric for the bottom. I did the border and the LA quilting. The detail of the quilting that I've shown, shows the big Japanese style wave from the top panel.
When all the months are done, they will be assembled and nationally exhibited as the Guiness Book's largest quilt. One show the calendar will be in is the AQS show.
Thanks for looking! Janie

Your quilting is great how it follows the fabric pattern. I love that particular Japanese style...I have a poster by the same artist in my office. These are very old prints...1920 era. I would like to see that huge quilt when it's done.
