Just finished sewing my pieces into blocks for the baby clothes quilt. There are only 35, but some of them were difficult. This is an adventure! I'm getting to know my sewing machine. We were only "acquaintances" before--met up for a little hemming, that was it!

So, my plan next is to snip threads, press the blocks and start to square them. Sound right? Any tips/advice at this point?

Sure, I'll get one. Warning...highly messy blocks, unpressed!

I would starch the blocks before cutting them to size; the cuts will be more accurate. If you don't want to wash the quilt later, use light or medium starch; handling alone will loosen it up by the end of the project.

    It's very, very cute!

Looks good, very pretty! Are you going to use sashing? Please post as you go further.

That is going to be a cute quilt. You are on the right track. Press, clip and square. And then you are ready to put them together. Keep us posted on your progress.
