I would press then MEASURE all the blocks first. That way you will know which one is the smallest size (assuming there is variation) and you can square/trim them all to that size.

Are you going to use sashing between the blocks? Or even sashing with corner blocks? I think it will be a beauty no matter how you finish it.

I think I am going to use sashing. I've seen some similar quilts and I think I like it. I don't know about corner blocks, MadQuilter! Not sure about the border yet, either, but I definitely want the finished product a bit bigger than what it would be if I sewed the blocks together...I'm looking around for ideas!

Thanks, everyone!

Very Pretty blocks!
I can just see them sashed and bordered in a lime green!
but I have no little girls so I can just dream!

I would sew them together on point and then add a couple of triangles to "square" up the quilt, add a lovely lime green or purple sashing and then bind in either lime green or purple, depending on what you use for the sashing. I really would starch the blocks before ironing and squaring and make sure you measure them and find the smallest one first then cut all to the same size.
i am a new quilter and just found starch and sizing and love them to death. makes quilting soooo much easier. hope this helps.

Press and then measure your blocks. Find the smallest one, square it up then square up the others to match it. It's going to be a beauty.

I would audition green, pink, and blue for the sashing (solid or print on print). I am sure that the "right" fabric will stand out.

MQ-I'm glad you said that. I was thinking I need to go with a colored sashing and I think I do want a subtle print. Hopefully I can shop some this weekend--I'll bring some blocks along!

Great looking quilt so far.... I think a purple sashing would look fabulous.
